Double T-800 Blog Party: Day 13

Lucky day THIRTEEN! Hopefully everyone is still having a good time and the prizes are at least worth coming back for. Sharon and I are having fun, and since we’re both battling flash floods (her basement and my mountain side), this party has been a great escape from reality for us!

Today’s Winners (according to random.org) are:
1. Jacqueline—A copy of Daily Morning Quotations, for those peaceful mornings watching the birds at the bird bath. (BTW, she IS named after the lovely Jacqueline Kennedy. I asked. Ha, ha.)
2. Theresa Milstein—A copy of Ten Apples Up on Top by Dr. Suess. Your son can read it and not even know it’s about him! LOL!
3. Jen Daiker—A copy of Daily Evening Quotations. Anyone up at 5 am to go to work has to get inspiration at night because there is no time that early in the morning!

Please email me your addresses, ladies, @ jackee(dot)alston(at)gmail(dot)com.

Not a winner this time? No worries! There is another chance today and the Grand Prize is still up for grabs. If you have already won, please feel free to play again. Consider it winning one of my gift baskets… one piece at a time. Here’s what you should do to play with us:

FIRST, click here to enter my grand prize giveaway (TBA July 31st). NEXT, go and enter Sharon’s grand prize giveaway. THEN visit both of our blogs for daily prizes.

To play for Wednesday’s prizes, please answer all three questions (answer creativity is appreciated though not rewarded extra entries). On Wednesday I’ll announce the three winners for the award that corresponds to the question:

1. What’s your favorite meal of the day?
2. What is your biggest pet peeve, the thing that can heat you up so fast you’ll pop your hull?
3. If you were king/queen of the world, what would be the first thing on your “To Do” clipboard?

Thanks for joining in on the fun! See you back here on Wednesday for the winner announcement and more off-the-wall questions/prizes!

  1. 1. What’s your favorite meal of the day?

Dinner. Nom nom nom nom! Though, I usually snack in between meals. :S

    2. What is your biggest pet peeve, the thing that can heat you up so fast you’ll pop your hull?

Both of them are usually not at the fault of whoever does these things, but they really annoy me! Dragging your feet when you're walking, so with every step I have to head CH, CH, Ch....AND then there are those who breath REALLY loudly. I'm a terrible person...

    3. If you were king/queen of the world, what would be the first thing on your “To Do” clipboard?

Abolish slavery. I shall gain love from the common people, and then I will have all the powers. :) -- what century do we live in, again?

    Fun questions. Hmm, let's see...

    1. Breakfast - omelets, pancakes, coffee...
    2. Not finishing your sentences. I have a friend who does this, and it's very frustrating because it's like she assumes I know what she was going to say, but I don't.
    3. Enact strict animal cruelty laws worldwide, and enforce them.

    3. If I were king and queen of the world, I'd set up a democracy. Maybe I'd set up huge environmental laws first.

  10. 1. I like breakfast food...but I'd rather eat it at dinner time. (Just not that hungry early on.)

    2. When my kids lay on my bed to watch TV in the evening and make the bed all hot and it's a hot day already...Ugh.

    3. Make sure all children had the opportunity to learn to read.

  11. Love your fun party!
    1. Dinner (as long as I can find something to make that doesn't take too long)
    2. Someone giving a group of kids (mine and theirs) a rule with a consequence and then not caring when their kids don't follow the rule.
    3. Get rid of all people who don't care ( or are rude, mean, etc.) about other people on PURPOSE.

  12. (1) Dinner, because I get to create.

    (2) I have a few, but I'll stick to spoken grammar errors ... Now that I've moved back to Smalltown, USA, these really get to me:
    - "Where's he at?"
    - "Oh, he did real good!"
    - "I'm going to go lay down."
I know, I'm nitpicky and anal.

    (3) I'd be a horrible queen of the world, but I think if I was forced into the role, my number one goal (*flash beauty pageant smile*) would be placing every orphaned child in a loving home. I'm not sure a Queen of the World could actually accomplish such a miracle, however. I might need to be promoted to Immortal Superhero Genius or something, instead.

  13. 1. Tea. You just can't beat a proper English tea. All the tiny bite sized beautiful things to eat. The delicate china. The tea itself, of course. I SOOO wish I lived in England.

    2. Whining. It's even worse in adults. Yeah, we all have to talk about our problems. But you can do it a mature way.

    3. This one made me stop and think. Hmmmn. Institute a four day work week instead of a five day one? Ugggh. i think I could do better than that. Stealing the idea to abolish slavery, and genocide, and school bullying. Hah.

  19. It varies between lunch and dinner. Whatever meal comes when I'm starving.

Pet Peeve? I've got a couple. Hypocrisy, disrespecting senior citizens, and bullying someone (whether physical, mental, or emotional)

Queen: Hmmm. I'd want to do something to make a lasting difference. End poverty? Find homes for orphans? World peace? Or maybe I'd just go ooooh and aaaaah over the crown jewels?
