Double T-800 Blog Party: Day 3

Today we’re continuing on the DOUBLE T-800 Blog Party. Anyone having fun yet?

Wednesday’s Winners are:
1. Vicki Rocho—a tray of marzipan fruit!
2. Susan Fields (a.k.a. best blogging friend who is super good at winning contests)—glittery photo album
3. Janet JohnsonCandy Shop Wars by Brandon Mull

Please email me your addresses, ladies, @ jackee(dot)alston(at)gmail(dot)com.

Not a winner this time? No worries, there is another chance today and the Grand Prize is still up for grabs. Here’s what you should do to play with us:

FIRST, click here to enter my grand prize giveaway (TBA July 31st). NEXT, go and enter Sharon’s grand prize giveaway. THEN visit both of our blogs for daily prizes.

I’m going to do today’s prizes more like Sharon’s because her way is much more fun and has more chances to win, so please answer all three questions (answer creativity is appreciated though not rewarded extra entries). On Monday I’ll announce the three winners chosen by random.org for the prize that corresponds to the question:

1. What’s more important to you, shoes or food?
2. Are you a lister or a Post-it all over the office type?
3. If you could choose your own last name, what would it be?

Thanks for joining in on the fun! See you back here on Monday for the winner announcement and more off-the-wall questions/prizes!

In other news, I just finished another rough draft. Yay! I’m pretty sure I wrote over 3,000 words yesterday, though who knows where I found the time. Where there’s a will there’s a way, I guess? That leaves Jedda Hitler, Traitor to the Party at 150 pages for its first write through. I’ll bone it up soon, though.

Have a great weekend!

  3. I know all those winners! Congrats!!!

    And for me:

    1. What’s more important to you, shoes or food? Food!! You can live without shoes (albeit, uncomfortably)
    2. Are you a lister or a Post-it all over the office type? In the office at work? Lister. In the "home office" where I write? I'm all over the place. LoL
    3. If you could choose your own last name, what would it be? Hm, I already did that! Justine Dell ;-)

  5. Congrats on the draft! Yea!

    1. Shoes. This shouldn't even be up for debate! :)

    2. Lists on paper, post-its all over my computer's desktop.

    3. I would keep the name I have. That's why I didn't change it after I got married. (Is that too boring to win? :)

  6. 1. shoes
    2. lister
    3. Hmmmm. I'd have to go with Morell. It's a surname I came up wtih for one of my protagonists from an unplished work. She's my alter ego, so yeah, that's it.

  7. OMG! That's SWEET! (hahaha, I get what you're doing now)

Thank you thank you thank you!

while I'm here, let's play along for today:

    I'd say FOOD

LISTER (I love post-its, but I write my lists on them...and notes for clients)

I like my last name. I used to be a Smith, see. And Vicki Smith is kinda generic and forgettable. But Vicki Rocho (Say Rock-Oh) is strong and memorable.

  8. Congratulations to your winners ~ this is so much fun!

    1. Hate shoes ~ LOVE food!
    2. Oh must make lists ~ the joy of ticking off and crossing off what has been completed ~ and if it's in a lovely new notebook ~ all the better!
    3. Harris ~ Catherine Harris ~ that is the name I am going to use when I ever get a book published! :)

    Have a Happy Weekend!
    xo Catherine

  9. I can't believe I won again! I'm really starting to feel guilty about this. I almost put on my comment not to enter me in the drawing because I'm still enjoying the wonderful basket of bath goodies! But that glittery photo album looks too good to pass up - so for the rest of the blog party, can I still answer the fun questions but leave my name out of the drawings? Because I love to answer fun questions! :) Thanks, Jackee!

  10. Okay, fun question answers:
    1. Definitely food.
    2. Lister.
    3. I've actually thought about this one before, in case I ever use a pseudonym. :) I like Sutton and Cavanaugh. But I just read Old Kitty's answer, and I may need to fight her for that title. :)

Congrats on finishing the wip! I can't wait to start Beta reading. :)

  11. hi miss jackee!

yep its more fun with more questions. i looked yesterday but didnt see your day 2 stuff. heres my answers for today

    1. FOOD! but its gotta be healthy foods like mcdonalds happy meals and peanutbutter cups and snickers bars

    2. i do bare foot at the house cause i hate wearing shoes. but i got some really neat shoes that i love. i got some black ones with flames on them. wow those are soooo cool.

    2. mostly im a pretty good listener. i gotta be because i got so many brothers and one chatty chatty sister. ugh! ha ha.

    3. wow this is a hard one. i like my name that i got now cause its easy to spell and say. i think if i had to do it i would be lenny buddha cause it could always remind me how im connected to the earth. buddha was a really cool dude!

    …smiles from lenny

  12. Shoes!
    Lists!
And I married my husband for his last name so I am keeping it!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Food, of course! Who needs shoes in the kitchen?

I'm a lister. The funny thing is I always have a 'rough draft' list and then I make a new, nicer looking one when I am done. Silly!

Hmmm... I honestly can't answer that one. Nothing comes to mind that I really like enough to pick it out!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Susan is surprisingly lucky at contests, isn't she? Hmmm....

    1. Geez--couldn't you have made an easier decision? Like air or water? I guess I'll go with food, since from May to September I wear the same pair of flip flops.

    2. I'm a lister, but sometimes I make those on post-its.

    3. My maiden name is Allgeyer. I hated that, growing up, and when I got married, I didn't think twice about changing it. Now that I'm old(er), I think maybe Allgeyer has great character. But Cook is easier to spell!! :)

  15. Fun :)

1 - I'm not a shoe person - running shoes or bare feet please! - so I'll say food :)

2 - Post it notes are everywhere! I should have bought stock in the company in order to get some of my money back! Love them!

3 - I did! At least for my bloggy persona - so Fraser it is :)

Congrats on finishing that first draft!! It's such a good feeling :)

    ReplyDelete
  16. Congrats on writing "the end." :o)

    1. food
    2. lister - my kids steal my post-it notes, even the used ones
    3. It's easier for me to think of last names I'm grateful I don't have. I think I'll go with Drake, since I have a thing for dragons.

    ReplyDelete
  17. 1. When you look at me, you know right away that food is way more important to me than shoes. Sigh.
    2. Lister. Though not in an organized kind of way.
    3. I have ancestors by the name of Inkpen. Isn't that awesome? I'd go with that.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Eeeeee!!! I can't believe I won. :) The Candy Shop War is totally on my TBR list. Thank you!

I'll answer the other questions because it's fun, but I'll let others win now. ;)

    1. Food. You should see my shoes. Then you'd know.
    2. I'm a both, too. I mean well and make lists, but then those lists get all over the place, and you know, good intentions and all . . .
    3. I like simple last names, but I have to nix "Jackson"

    Thanks again!

  19. 1. What’s more important to you, shoes or food? Food. You can always make shoes out of food.
    2. Are you a lister or a Post-it all over the office type? POST ITS!
    3. If you could choose your own last name, what would it be? Rowling. I dunno, might fool a few agents.

  20. 1) Shoes or food? How hard! That's like choosing which child I like better. Okay, food but only because I think I could get through life without shoes. But what a life it would be...

    2) Lister. I plan shopping meals, make packing lists, and if I have too many things to remember to do, I make a list for that.

    3) I love my grandmother's last name. so I'd choose Walsh. Can I change my first name too?

    ReplyDelete
  21. 1. You cannot walk in shoes if you are keeling over from hunger. Food is always more important :)

    2. My lists are on post-it notes and all manner of scrap paper that manages to cross my path. So, both?

    3. Something simple to spell, like Smith. Because right now my first AND last name always get misspelled!

    ReplyDelete
  22. 1. Food more important
    2. Both!
    3. I like Andrews because it is my birth name and links to my Scot-Irish ancestry.

You girls are too much fun! Have a super weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  23. 1. Shoes, of course.
    2. I'm a lister
    3. Kravitz; I've had a crush on Lenny Kravitz forever!!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. 1. Food. I can never find cute shoes that fit my large feet.
    2. Is Both an answer?
    3. I can't think of another on I like, so I guess I will be boring and stick with my last name.

Congrats on finishing it up! You are amazing!

    ReplyDelete
  25. 1. Food
    2. Lister
    3. No last name. I'll be one of those one name people. Susanne. : )

    ReplyDelete
  26. 1. Definitely food. Hardly care about shoes at all except when the sidewalk burns my feet when I'm not wearing them.
    2. Lister
    3. Yip (I've always wished I were born Chinese.)

    ReplyDelete
  27. 1. Food. All I need are my Chuck Taylor's and I'm good.
    2. I'm BOTH! I make lists about everything from weekly meals to what I need to type on the blog and post-its are a must or I'd forget to write a list!
    3. Land. So My name actually would be Candyland.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Oh my gosh this is so much fun! I was just over at Sharon's saying that I'm so bummed I've missed out on these awesome days because I keep having these busy weeks but I'm happy that I get to participate today!!!

    So here are my answers!!!

    1. FOOD!!!
    2. Wow tough, at work very much a post-it girl, at home very much a lister on my fridge!
    3. Hmm own last name?? How about Aniston, I want people to ask if I'm really Jennifer Aniston, LOL

  29. I saw that you are a part of the Debut Author Challenge! That is so amazing that you are supporting debut authors and I only recently found out that I am going to be one!!! I wanted to ask if you wouldn’t mind heading over to my blog and giving me your opinion. As a blogger turned author I would really appreciate it and the publisher is still giving out ARCs so you might have a chance at a free copy! Thank you and I hope you will stop by and check out The Thirteenth Chime!

    Sincerely,
