In a perfect world

In a perfect world…
  • Every person is of value, has something to offer.
  • Every person has something to say and it is okay if others don't agree, the opinion is still valid.
  • Every person is able to portray themselves looking or doing anything they wish. That is the only visual others have to go by.
  • Every person is judged only by what one says and does. Not by what one looks like.
  • Every person helps one another along the pathway of life, career, and family without expecting any compensation in return.
So… yeah, blogging = A Nearly Perfect World.

*sigh*

(Thanks for being there for me, all my sweet bloggy friends. Sorry I took an impromptu blogging break. Will be around to your places ASAP.)

Aren't our blogging buddies great? I'm glad to see you back on here - I hope everything's going okay with you.

Oh, I love this! Esp when you ended with = blogging and I gasped, had to read it all over again and say yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! Why is this so? Is it because blogging is a world of no expectations and no demands - just show up and play?

Oh, this is so true! Especially when compared to other online mediums. Have you ever seen the Amazon discussion forums? So mean!

I dropped LibraryThing because once people know you're an author, they assume you are spamming your book if you dare join a discussion.

And if you want to see people who apparently crawled out from under a rock, look at the comments under any CNN.com article.

But I have never yet seen a mean or rude blogger -- nor discovered a single troll among the commenters.

I agree with Dianne. I don't think I've ever read a mean-spirited blog. The blogosphere is really a supportive community.
